Which shades should I get?

So, I lost my pair of racing shades while on spring break in Florida two weeks ago. I have been using a regular pair of shades for racing and training. So, yeah they suck pretty bad. I like how they look, but training and racing they suck some big balls. They fog up and don't stay on my face on descents. So I have been looking for a new pair of shades. I have pretty much have narrowed my choices down to Oakley Pro M and Rudy Project Exowind. The general consensus from my team is the M frames as they are reliable and look pretty bad ass. But once I saw the exowind I was dazzles by the Euroness of it.

I don't know which one to pick, I will probably get the one that I can't get a better deal on. Either way I have to wait another two weeks to get the final choice, I need to pay some bills first. Here are pics of both shades, who knows which one I will pick.

  2. If you want around 50% off Rudy Project glasses just shoot me an email (n.kupperstock[at]gmail.com).
BU is sponsored by them and we can share the love.

Also I would recommend the Rudy Performance Sportmask

  3. I ride/race in safety glasses I stole from the med school cadaver lab (eat that Temple Cycling fashion team). Seriously. $0 cost. The money's better spent on stuff to go faster, like food to fuel the training and a coach to guide it. But if looking euro (but not italian) is important, go with the exowinds sans doute.

  4. Being Euro is way more important than anything else. Anyone who tells you otherwise has no idea what they are talking about. This means white sunglasses.

    Oakley is not Euro.

  5. Emma, Oakley is Euro, they either need to be euro white with ridiculously contrasting colored lenses or neon color frames. My next investment after I get sick of my trashed radars.

However, retro is stylish, consider looking up some Oakley Razor Blades or anything Briko, a la Cipollini http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3187/2510557321_566e6bbab5.jpg?v=0

  6. I may take you up on the offer BU, but the Kanye shades are pretty tempting...

Yes, Emma is correct being Euro is way more important than anything else. So sorry Grahm, I won't be rocking lab safety glasses even though I can get them for free at Stevens.

  7. Be outrageous. Looking like everyone else is bland. Consider purchasing anything that was really hot in pro cycling in the early nineties. That way you have some neon and a certain flair that goes with an appreciation for racing that happened when we were all using diaper instead of chamois cream.

  8. If you'd like, I can see if Jake from my team (RIT) knows where to get his glaucoma glasses in shades of neon. Clearly they are the hottest optical fashion item on the market right now. And guaranteed to shave 10+ seconds off a time trial of unspecified length!*

  9. I got mine in Shanghai for 3 bucks. But I suppse the plane ticket to get there would be a worthy period cost...
